Location & Time

The 17th Annual Spring Has Sprung 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and Kids Race will take place Sunday, October 4 at the beautiful golfing/lake community of Hidden Valley Lake.  

Bib pick up and race day registration for 5K/10K is between 7:15 am - 7:45 am at Coyote Valley School, located at 18950 Coyote Valley Rd, Hidden Valley Lake, CA 95467.  Sorry, no race day registration for the Kids Race.  Free coffee will be available.

The Kids Race (1/2K ages 4-5) and (1K ages 6-9) starts at 8:00 AM.  The 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run will start at 8:30 AM after a course briefing. 


Register online by April 15 for early bird pricing and to guarantee an event shirt.

Online registration closes on May 15. 

Early Bird Pricing: (by April 15)  Adults $30.00*, after 4-15 $35*. 

Youths,19 and under,$20.00* through 5/15 when online registration closes. 

On Race Day, prices increase an additional $5.00. Register early!

Kids Race Registration is $5* through May 15th when online registration closes.

The Kids Race is limited to 50 participants and there is no race day registration for kids race.  

*There is a small online "convenience fee" charged by Run Sign Up for all registrations

The Kids Race 1/2K (ages 4-5) and 1K (ages 6-9) is untimed.  


Medals and prizes will be awarded for the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K Races.  Also, Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers for women and men by age division.  In the 5K race, age divisions are  9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 5-year divisions 20-70+  In the 10K race, age divisions are 19 and under, and 10 year divisions 20-60+

Depending on ability and parents discretion, kids 6 and up may opt for the 5K (3.1 miles) event.  The challenging  10K course is restricted to ages 10 and up.

Our 5K and 10K is happening on open roads with light car traffic.  Runners and Walkers must observe the rules of the road at all times.

The Event is rain or shine.  For runner safety, no dogs, skateboards, headphones or skates allowed on the course.

The race proceed will be benefiting the Lake County High School Cross Country

The Award Ceremony will begin at approximately 10 AM.  1,2, and 3rd place overall finishers in the 5K (male/female) will be awarded a free entry into the 5K or 10K of the Santa Rosa Marathon event happening, Saturday August 29th.  The first place finisher (male/female) of the Spring Has Sprung 10K will win a $60 discount on the Santa Rosa Marathon or Half Marathon.

First place youth finishers in the 5K (male/female) will be awarded a $10 gift certificate to Mountain High Coffee in HVL!
